FAQ

What time is the event?  Doors open at 12 pm, and the event concludes at 4 pm.

Where is the event located?  The 2017 Food and Wine Festival is located at La Jolla Cove, at Ellen Browning Scripps Park.  The physical address is 1133 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037.

Can I bring my newborn baby? No. Our permit does not allow anyone (including infants) under 21 on site.

Where do I park? Street parking will be limited near La Jolla Cove on the day of the event. Don’t waste precious tasting time roaming the streets for a parking spot. Parking is available  at 7817 Ivanhoe Ave. or 7625 Fay Ave.  As always, a designated driver is recommended.

What should I wear? Don your hats and derby attire!  There will be a Best Hat and Best Dressed contest.

For the ladies: summer dresses, smart suits and your best derby hat is appropriate. It will be cool near the water, so a sweater may be appreciated. Keep in mind that while stilettos look fabulous, they may not be the best choice for this grassy park… your feet will thank you!

For the gents: suit up in your best linen, seersucker or khaki!

Are pets permitted? No four-legged friends will be allowed except for service animals. Please leave all other pets at home.

Will I leave hungry? No way! Enjoy more than 50 fabulous bites and sips while gazing at the La Jolla Cove’s breathtaking views. Beer, wine, spirits, entrees, appetizers, desserts, oh my!

Where do the funds go? Your ticket purchase to JLSD’s largest fundraising event of the year will help continue our work within the community and members. JLSD is committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through trained volunteers. We provide textbook scholarships, life skills and financial literacy courses and mentorship to transition aged foster youth in San Diego county.

Will my photo appear on future marketing materials? Potentially, so thank you in advance! By attending the Food & Wine Festival you authorize the Junior League of San Diego to use your image in any photos taken at the event for any lawful purpose including, but not limited to marketing and promotional purposes.

Are tickets refundable? All tickets purchased are non-refundable.

What happens if the event is canceled due to inclement weather? In the case of inclement weather Junior League of San Diego reserves the right to cancel the event. Notification will be posted through social media and all efforts will be made to provide notification in a timely manner. Tickets purchased will NOT be refunded and the proceeds from said tickets will be considered donations to the League.
