Junior League of San Diego Food and Wine Festival:
May 3rd 1-5pm, La Jolla Cove Wrap Up & Review

The Food & Wine Festival Delivers a Delectable Derby Day!
14th Annual event raises record-breaking $164,000

California Chrome may have won the Kentucky Derby, but there were countless other winners at this year’s premiere fundraiser!  JLSD hosted its 14th annual Food & Wine Festival on May 3, 2014 which was another fabulous event that will not soon be forgotten. The spectacular La Jolla Cove provided the perfect backdrop for guests donning their best hats and seersucker to enjoy the ultimate Kentucky Derby dining experience. Each year, this event continues to grow with this year’s Festival raised a record-breaking $164,000 for our mission-based programs.

Guests were treated to over 60 vendors offering unlimited fine wines, flavorful brews, exotic cocktails and scrumptious cuisine. In between sampling, guests mingled and perused exciting Festival offerings like the sold-out Purple Wine Company Mystery Wine Grab, TAY Scholarship Drive at the Community Table and the Win Place Show Raffle. Crowds gathered in the Goose Island Winner’s Circle to enthusiastically cheer on the Run for the Roses, and enjoyed new lounge furniture and special samplings in the Riviera VIP Lounge.

Thanks to the generous support the Junior League of San Diego received through this event, the League is able to help serve the over 300 youth who transition from the foster care system in San Diego each year. Thank you to JLSD members and the San Diego community for helping open new doors of opportunity.

Save the date for next year’s event May 2, 2015!
